Bug description
When the conversation is opened in a landscape mode, switching to portrait will crash the app. No .IPS file is generated during this crash :/
The bug was already present in december 2025. As far as I remember this bug already happened before and was fixed some years ago.
Steps to reproduce
Open Signal
Open a conversation in landscape mode
Switch your phone to portrait
Actual result: The app crash
Expected result: The conversation still opened in portrait mode.
Screenshots

Device info
Device: iPhone 7 plus iOS version: 15.8.6 but the bug was already present with then version 15.8.5 Signal version: 8.0 (1404) but the bug was already present in 7.86.2.2106 and maybe before.

I attach the debug logs if it could help
The logs and the video were not made in the same time. In the following debug log, I reproduce the bug over and over from 2026/03/03 16:00:53 to 2026/03/03 16:02:07:204
