Chat response empty

When testing the chat by asking what model it is, the response is a small empty grey chat bubble.

I had the same issue, on my side it was an issue on OpenAI platform side --> no credits. To check if it's the case, go to https://platform.openai.com/logs, you'll see an error message under the Responses tab (make sure it's the right project / API key).
You can modify the code to get clear error messages as opposed to an empty chat bubble, ChatGPT is helpful in doing that.
