Google Group post summary not showing up

The front page has a section for "Recent Google Group Posts", but the recent posts are unpopulated.

We should fix this so that the three most recent Google Group posts show up on the front page. If it's no longer possible to serve Google Group posts to an external website, we should drop this section instead.

From what I can tell, it's using this script to populate that element: https://github.com/cugos/cugos.github.com/blob/main/static/js/feed.js

It seems like it's using some hack to get the Google Group posts into a heroku app and then this JS turns that into posts on the page. That heroku app no longer functions thus no more posts. I say we get rid of this section and associated JS.

Throwback! https://github.com/cugos/cugos-feed-api - this all ran on my personal heroku account, which is no longer active. 👍 ditch it

Not only is the Heroku app no longer there, but Google Groups no longer provides RSS feeds.

If we really wanted this I think we'd need to do something like a scheduled github action which scrapes https://groups.google.com/g/cugos or fetches mail from an inbox that's subscribed to the group. I'd say it's not worth the effort, but maybe in a world of vibecoding...
