appears on several pages, for example the about page, people page, publication page etc. This is probably reasonable so that people don't have to hunt for it but can find it on any page where it might be reasonably expected to be found. However that means that any change needs to be copied to each and every page.
Recommendation: instead of hard coding the text on each page, it should be hard coded once and pulled into each page in some way.
